Khaldur-Vanul
The First of the Stoneborn
Tharûm-Vel – The Crowned Vault of Vanadia
Tharûm-Vel is a wonder not built to impress outsiders, but to immortalize dwarven purpose. Every brick is measured. Every beam of metal is etched. It is said the Deep-Council’s oaths echo forever in the stone, and that traitors go mad simply by walking its halls.
This is the High Forge, the Crown Vault, the First Seat—and those who walk it do so with bowed heads and silenced boots.

The Stoneborn Domain
In the deep places of the world, carved beneath the bones of mountains, the Dwarves of Khaldur-Vanul have shaped not only cities—but strongholds of permanence, wealth, and ritual. Their halls are vast, their stonework unmatched, and their silence guarded by gold and iron alike.
“Stone remembers. And here, it speaks.”
Hidden in the deep marrow of The Crownstone mountains, Tharûm-Vel is not merely a city—it is the seat of all dwarvenkind, the axis upon which centuries of craft, conflict, and crown have turned.
Its halls are carved from obsidian-veined stone, polished until they reflect torchlight like black mirrors. Towering archways, inlaid with golden filigree and runes of binding, stretch from vault-floor to ceiling—though no sky can be seen. There is no open air, only stonework domes and cathedral-like expanses lit by molten crystal veins and rune-flames that never fade.

Temple of the Stonefather – Hall of Khorrundar
At the center of Khaldur-Vanul’s deepest vault lies a temple not marked by banners, but by silence. The Temple of the Stonefather, carved directly into the bones of the mountain, is the most sacred site in dwarven memory—a place where stone itself bends in reverence.
In the heart of the temple stands the Obsidian Effigy of Khorrundar, the Firstborn of the Forge, shaped from volcanic blackstone veined with whisper-thin lines of pure gold. His expression is stern, unblinking, ageless. His hammer, lowered but unbroken. Each vein gleams faintly with enchanted warmth, said to pulse in time with the mountain’s breath.
No prayer is spoken aloud here. The dwarves of Vanadia kneel in silence, touching stone to brow, and remember what was carved before voice was ever needed.
It is said that when Khorrundar returns, he will step down from this statue—and the mountain will rise with him.
