Fraventh

“Your name is worth more than your blood. And some have no name at all.”

Realm of the Obsidian Crown

Fraventh is a realm of rigid nobility and generational burden. Beneath wind-scoured ridges and manor-cast shadows, the peasantry survives in cold silence, bound by debt, duty, and inherited servitude. The nobles do not toil, nor fight, nor feel the winter as others do. They reign from afar, cloaked in tradition and untouched by the hunger that gnaws at their fields.

Governance & Law

  • System: Aristocratic Monarchy—noble houses hold true power; the monarch reigns in name only.

  • High Noble Circle: The true ruling council—each house guards its privileges jealously.

  • Ward Judges: Appointed to enforce noble law in peasant regions; justice is swift, brutal, and rarely questioned.

  • House Assignees: Skilled commoners are “claimed” by noble houses; their work belongs to their assigned lords.

Culture & Daily Life

  • Noble Life: Lavish halls, imported wines, glass atriums, and hothouse baths fed by hidden springs.

  • Peasant Life: Turf-roofed timber homes, lard-bread and bitter tea, six days labor to survive one day of silence.

  • Craft & Labor: From timber-felling to frost-mining, most laborers are born into generational roles they will never escape.

  • Festivals: There are none for the peasantry. The nobles host seasonal balls and hunting galas, far from common sight
