Dorn-Khazeth

Seat City: Khaz-Vrakul

Though less revered than their kin beneath the Crownstone Reaches, their Emberthane rules with flame-tempered resolve, and their warriors are hard as the coal-veins they mine. These are not halls of gold and echoing glory—but of flame, soot, and the will to endure.

Among the coal-forged tunnels, the dwarves of Dorn-Khazeth have developed thick leather breathing hoods, cooling salves of ash-oil and frostroot, and ancient runes that disperse heat through the stone itself. Their skin bears the gray-sheen of long exposure, their beards trimmed close for safety, their eyes ever squinting against ember-light. Fire is not feared—it is mastered.

The Emberdeep

In the Frostmarch Peaks, the soot-streaked forges of Dorn-Khazeth ring with blacksteel and blood-oaths. Though less revered, its Emberthane is fierce, and its warriors unyielding.

The Curse and Blessing of Coal

In the blacklunged depths of the Frostmarch Peaks, the dwarves of Dorn-Khazeth mine the lifeblood of flame—coal, rich and unyielding. Their tunnels fuel not only their own endless forges but the hearths and smithies of half the known world. Yet while their coffers swell with trade, their stone yields no sapphire, no rune-gold, no divine quartz. Among dwarves, they are the ash-burdened—the Emberdeep Accord—respected for necessity, not brilliance. But they wear the soot like a badge, for without fire, even gold is cold.
